Food Popplet

Write two paragraphs in English and post it to your blog with your a) impressions on French food and b) comparing French and American shopping habits.  Make sure you have a topic sentence for each paragraph and use details from the readings to support your topic sentences. In addition to your paragraph, embed your Popplet (click on Share, then copy the embed code).

Overall, my impressions on French food are pretty good. A lot of the things they eat are similar to what we eat. They have coffee in the morning like us (other than the fact that they drink it out of a bowl instead of a cup), they eat at McDonald's and order Domino's pizza, and they are starting to eat more American cereal. And a lot of restaurants in America require 15% tips, too.

French shopping habits are almost the same as in America too. They have fresh fruits and veggies and there are some open air markets here too. When they go to the grocery store, they either bring their own bags to carry their food in or they can rent a cart for a small fee. In America, most stores offer carts for free and put your food in plastic bags to take home. Both France and America have specialty shops like patisseries and bakeries. Grocery stores sell soda and other packaged food. Unlike America, French people buy fresh bread every day.
